Medical Tourism from Guinea — Where to Go, for What, and for How Long
Beirut for the full medical and aesthetic programme. Dubai for dentistry in English. Abidjan for French-speaking care two hours away. The guide our coordinator wishes every patient from Conakry had read first.
Patients from Guinea have been travelling for healthcare for decades — to Dakar, Casablanca, Tunis, Paris, Istanbul. What has changed is the quality of what is reachable within one or two flights: a hospital-affiliated oral surgeon, a multi-specialty medical centre, and a coordinator who speaks French and English and has handled West African patients before. This page sets out how medical tourism from Guinea works with Smile Infinity®.
The one-trip model
Six of the sixteen Smile Infinity® locations are multi-specialty medical centres — Beirut, Dubai, Jeddah, Erbil, Basra and Abidjan. That matters for a traveller: smile, face, skin and wellness treatment can be sequenced inside a single stay instead of three trips to three clinics. A patient who flies from Conakry for a Hollywood Smile can have gum depigmentation on day one, veneer preparation on day two, an injectable session mid-week and the final bonding before the flight home — one surgeon’s plan, one coordinator, one hotel.
Which destination for which treatment
Beirut — the complete programme
Dentistry, oral surgery in hospital, plastic surgery, injectables, dermatology and laser hair removal under one roof at Marc 1 Center, Horch Tabet. The destination for complex implant cases, combined smile-and-face plans, and anyone who wants Lebanon’s medical culture: French, English and Arabic spoken everywhere.
Dubai — dentistry in English
Hollywood Smile, veneers, whitening, implants and laser dentistry at Clinica Joelle, Jumeirah. Direct business and trade links with West Africa make Dubai familiar to many Conakry patients; treatment is scheduled around Dr. Zarifeh’s Dubai calendar.
Abidjan — closest, in French, no visa
A full medical centre with aesthetic medicine and dental care. Conakry to Abidjan is a short regional flight, Guinean citizens enter visa-free under ECOWAS rules, and the team works in French. The right choice for shorter treatments and for patients who want follow-up within the region.
Lagos, Dakar and beyond
Dental clinics in Lagos and Dakar, Tunis, Benghazi, Budapest, Michigan, Manama, Deira and Jounieh; medical centres in Jeddah, Erbil and Basra. Your coordinator proposes an alternative when a destination fits your treatment, your language or your travel plans better.
How many days you need
- Hollywood Smile / veneers: most cases are completed within one stay of roughly a week — consultation and digital smile design, preparation, provisionals, final bonding and a check-up before you fly.
- One Day Implant®: implant placement with a provisional tooth in a single clinical session when bone conditions allow; the definitive crown follows after healing, either on a second short trip or coordinated with a local dentist.
- All-on-4 / All-on-6: surgery and a fixed provisional bridge in one visit; the final bridge once the implants have integrated, typically some months later.
- Laser gum depigmentation, whitening, gummy-smile correction: usually a single session each, easily combined with a veneer plan.
- Smile Lift®: two visits, no drilling, no surgery — well suited to a two-trip medical-tourism calendar.
- Injectables and dermatology: same-day treatments; plastic surgery: plan seven to fourteen days in Beirut depending on the procedure, so that the surgeon sees you before you travel home.
Getting there from Conakry
Abidjan is a direct regional flight from Conakry Gbessia International Airport. Beirut and Dubai are usually reached with a single connection — Istanbul, Casablanca and Addis Ababa are the common routes. Your coordinator checks your itinerary against your appointment dates before anything is booked.
Visas: Guinean citizens travel to Côte d’Ivoire without a visa under the ECOWAS protocol on free movement. Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates require a visa arranged before travel for Guinean passport holders; Smile Infinity® provides the appointment confirmation and invitation documents that visa applications ask for. Start the visa step as soon as your treatment dates are fixed.

Where you stay
In Beirut, Smile Infinity® Medical Center works in cooperation with the Hilton Habtoor Grand Hotel, directly across from Marc 1 Center — a two-minute walk from the hotel lobby to the clinic. In Dubai, patients stay in Jumeirah near Clinica Joelle; in Abidjan, near the centre in the city. Airport transfers and hotel options are part of the plan your coordinator sends you.
Languages and follow-up
Coordination and treatment are available in English, French and Arabic. After treatment you leave with a written aftercare protocol and the direct WhatsApp line of your coordinator. Check-ups can be reviewed remotely from Guinea with photos, and where a local dentist is needed for routine hygiene visits, the team tells you exactly what to ask for.
What to send before you fly
- Three photos: front smile, side smile, and teeth with lips retracted.
- A panoramic X-ray (OPG) if you have one — any radiology centre in Conakry can produce it; a CBCT scan if implants are planned.
- A short medical history: medications, diabetes, blood-pressure or heart conditions, allergies, and whether you smoke.
- Your travel window and preferred destination — or let the coordinator propose one.
